Posted July 25, 2007 -- The father of slain federal prosecutor Jonathan Luna has written Lancaster County, PA, coroner Dr. Gary Kirchner requesting information on the assistant U.S. attorney's murder.

In a daily email newsletter published by Dr. Kirchner dated Wednesday, July 25, 2007, the county coroner tells his readers that he has received a "heart rending (sic) note from Jonathan's father."
Luna, 38, was found drowned in a stream in Lancaster County on December 4, 2003. His body was covered with dozens of severe knife wounds. Luna had vanished the night before from his desk in the federal courthouse in Baltimore, MD.
Luna's father, Paul, is in his late eighties.
Paul Luna was formerly a restaurant worker in New York City.
